Merry Christmas. mailbox and snow.

I'm a little late in the day, but I want to take the time to extend my holiday greetings. We often hear that "Jesus is the reason for the season." Yes, Jesus is the reason - the only reason!

Merry Christmas! I send my prayers to those who have loved ones who are no longer with you. I know how tough it must be. My father, mother, and other family members aren't around any longer, which can be sad. I want to encourage you with this passage.

Psalms 34:18 (NKJV) The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.

God promises to be close to those whose hearts have been broken and to be our source of strength and endurance. He gives courage and wisdom to help us through those difficult times of holidays without the ones who made them special.

Lord, you want us to give thanks for all things. You want us to be content. Thank you for the wisdom and power to do so. I pray for those who are grieving the loss of loved ones. I pray we will see your hand during these and other challenging times. In the name of Jesus - Amen.
