The Call To Present Yourself

Today’s devotional was created from the July 20th message “Transformed Into a Living Sacrifice.”

Romans 12:1-2

¹ I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. ² And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

The Call to Present Yourself

Paul issued a radical call to all believers to present their bodies as a living sacrifice. It is a call to completely surrender ourselves, physically, spiritually, and our souls, to the service of God. This isn’t about your old self, tainted by sin, but your new self in Christ—one that is holy and spiritually alive. To live as a sacrifice means offering your whole being to God, every single day, as an act of worship and trust.

What areas of my life am I holding back from God? What does it look like to truly offer my whole self as a living sacrifice?

Prayer:

Lord, I present my life to You. Help me walk in holiness, surrendered and transformed by Your power.
